Overview

Every car has a story and a few Companies have a story to match!Alpina the famed BMW tuner is one of those. Alpina has been tuning BMW’s since the early 1960’s and because of that close relationship the Alpina Roadster V8 was born. The Z8 Alpina was the first Alpina model sold directly through BMW dealerships. Because of their bespoke nature just 555 examples of this model were built making the BMW Alpina Roadster V8 a rare sight in the wild. These gorgeous roadsters modeled after the iconic 507 was the Z8’s swan song, the special version went through some significant changes during its transition to become an Alpina-badged model. These Alpina Roadsters had the 4.8-liter V8 detuned to 375 horsepower but had more low-end torque than the standard Z8 and so when mated to the ZF automatic transmission magic happened. Other changes included softer suspension setup for the Alpina exclusive 20-inch wheels, individually numbered plaque, blue instrument dials, different upholstery stitching, and an extra dial showing the gear position. This Alpina Roadster comes from its original owner and has been exceptionally maintained from new. Traveling only 17,000 miles from new in 17 years this Alpina has had a pampered life with its single owner car collector in the Seattle area. Coming with its original window sticker, numbered matching coffee table book with window sticker, covers for the hardtop and vehicle, hardtop stand and matching hardtop, original books and manuals in the original Alpina portfolio, both keys with pouches, valet key, battery charger, tool kit, inflator and first aid kit.
