Overview

I found this car in 2012 from a local Craigslist ad. An all-original, extremely rare Summer Yellow Targa was exactly what I was looking for that week. Unfortunately, the seller at the time felt that he was going to have seller's remorse and changed his mind about selling it, after all, it was his pride and joy and he did not think he could find the right replacement. I saved his number and touched base with him once a year for the next 5 years, just to see if he finally changed his mind about letting it go. Fast forward to January of this year, I just so happen to stumble across his number in my phone and thought "What the hell, let's see if that car is still around". It felt like hitting the jackpot, after chasing this car for over 10 years, he was still the owner and was finally willing to part ways due to his recent living situation. Needless to say, it showed up at my shop a few days later.

As I bought the car sight unseen with little knowledge of the current condition besides a few dark photos the seller took in the garage covered in dust, I was a bit fearful about the condition of the car upon arrival. After a quick overview, it was apparent this car was exactly what it was in 2012. All original paint, a near-perfect interior, numbers matching, and even still retained its option sticker under the hood. The car was immediately sent to European Performance for a PPI and a leak-down test for peace of mind. It was then sent to my friend Scott Ales, in Florida, for his famous Dry Ice treatment.
