1973 Datsun 240Z

This 1973 240z was bought a decade ago by a good friend and Datsun enthusiast as a father/son project. As a long-time 240Z nut, he knew the importance of starting with a rust-free, unmolested car. We all know what happens with these projects and this 240Z is no exception. The car was sent to renowned Z-car specialist Eiji at Datsun Spirit and started with an engine rebuild. The problematic flat top carbs were replaced and then things went off the rails! Upon the realization between school, sports and work neither father nor son had any time to make it happen so Eiji ended up doing a total restoration with only the interior remaining largely untouched. The engine, chassis, suspension, and body were completely stripped and restored to better than new condition. The body was exceptionally straight with virtually no previous damage or rot and it shows with a paint meter reading very consistent throughout the car. The Chassis is exceptional and very nicely detailed with all the right spot welds and no undercoating to cover up the evidence. Under the hood is where Eiji made his reputation and this car will just prove it to you as it runs exceptionally well throughout the entire powerband. if you're looking for a fantastic driving, rust-free car to enjoy for many years this is the Z car for you! When I asked my Client for the receipts he told me he threw the evidence away when he paid the bills to save his marriage and they lived happily ever after.
